i wasn't sure what i was getting myself into.

all i knew was that i wanted to make it different from any "fashion blog"

There's a story behind anything that you do.

and i wanted to be sure to make that story clear without preaching to the choir per say.

everything that you do should have a

purpose.

a reason.

a cause.

i know we all have our days where nothing seems to be going right. and there are days when the sun is shining a little extra and the birds are singing a little louder.

The day i shot these pictures i was definitely having one of those days.

i wanted this post to look a little different.

and its funny how a simple hat can change everything

And then i thought about it

Venice Beach.

A culture that is only about 30 min away from where i live, yet i can honestly say its been years since Ive been here.

There are so many things in life that take us away for so long, that sometimes we forget whats in our own back yard.

We all have priorities and distractions, bad days and good days. But we must not forget to keep ourselves happy in the process of life.

Making choices can be difficult. but if you are happy then your choices will reflect that. And in order to look good. You must feel good.

So i say, take a break and go on an adventure.

eat some good food

be with people you love

and enjoy the view..

If you know me personally, then you pretty much know Im as awkward as a raisin.

Growing up, i was THAT weird little girl. not many friends, quiet, and extremely tomboy.(i have the pictures to prove it)

Boys didnt want to date me. and girls most certainly did not want to be me.

But as i got older, Ive learned there is absolutely nothing wrong with being a little weird.

I love the person that i am.

Dont ever feel alone or worried that you wont fit in.

On Jan. 1st 2014, i made my New Years Resolutions. Like most people do on that day. 

I promised myself a new adventure.

From getting a new car to going back to school. This year i would not let anything get in my way.

And to be honest. I've actually accomplished just about everything on my long list.

But alongside i have also come up with new resolutions/goals/wishes. 

Ive quickly learned that it doesn't have to be a beginning of a new year to start something new.

But its safe to say, waking up to new dreams everyday, time is of the essence.

Time has now become my new best friend.

Time is something we all have, but something that can be lost in an instant.

Whether its a date with your boo.

hanging with your girlfriends.

or going from school to work.

Time is something you must master.

Remember! you have as many hours in a day as Beyonce!

New to the blog world, I've encountered that with most things in life, it takes a lot of time and dedication.

Not only do they make me believe in myself and that my dreams can come true. But also in life, when we come across obstacles. They have showed me that with the right mindset...

the fact that you can put on a simple dress and feel like a completely different person.

thats magic...
